The name John Reading appeared in various records as Redding, and Readon. Timothy Rearden, or Rarden, was a different person in Endeavour.

Hello John, Please, could you clear up a point for me ? In Cook’s handwritten journal for 30th of November 1768 he mentions punishing John Readon Boatswains Mate. Does Cook mean John Reading ? Is there a John Readon on Endeavour’s hand written muster list ? I think there is a Timothy Reardon

I am a descendant of Charles Green in New zealand. I have lots if information but always hoping there maybe a photo out there of Charles or any other information. Have met Wendy Wales & she shared alote with me. Some of Capt Cooks belongings were given to Charles widow Elizabeth. I heard through family that some of this came to NZ with my Great grandfather Thomas John Green in the late 1890s but of course it has disappeared. I did wonder if it got sold in England by family members. Any information would be gratefully accept. Many thanks Heather Lill NZ

I'm interest to know if any of my relatives the URWIN family of Whitby had any connection with The Endeavour eg at one time pattern makers, also listed in Census returns as Fishermen.

I'm interested in the close relationship that the family of James Mario Magra (aka Matra) had with the families of George and Patrick Tonyn, and the De Lancey family of New York ... also with the Home Secretary Evan Nepean who seems to have known Matra's early school history. I would appreciate hearing from anyone knowing more about the history of these families (involved in the Abolitionist movement) at the time of the American Revolution

Hallo there, I just wanted to say that I am related to Gunner Forwood on my Father’s side and Midshipman Clerke on my Mother’s side. Neither of these had their own families, we are descended from their siblings. Best wishes, Camilla Jarvis

Good morning We have been using your website for a few years and enjoyed the profiles of the crew members. We don't seem to be able to access these - is there a new location on your website? Many thanks.
